Steem Vs RedditCoin

I am a newbee to the Steemit community, though not alien for other cryptocurrencies (esp BitCoin and Ethereum). I am feeling very positive about the vision and future of Steemit and interested to invest in STEEM as well.

Just a curious question,

What will happen to Steemit if Reddit comes up with their own cryptocurrency (lets say RedditCoin) and adjusts their rewarding system and privacy controls? Reddit is already well established and has a huge user base compared to Steemit. People are so crazy about ICOs and RedditCoin may become an overnight hit given its brand name. Will it be a real threat to Steemit? @ned
