Birdchain – A Decentralized App With A Difference

This article will be focusing on Birdchain, which is an offshoot of a company known as Vertex. The Vertex team is made up of experienced professionals and as a result, the Vertex company has been a professional venture. In fact the founders of the company have gone on to launch many other businesses.

So What Is Birdchain?

In simple terms, Birdchain is a decentralized app (DAPP) which draws similarities with instant messenger. There is a big difference though, with Birdchain you can earn a monthly passive income! Birdchain also aims to provide companies with better quality and more reasonably priced services such as content engagement and a personal data marketplace. The main objective of the application is to have a multi-purpose platform where users can simultaneously earn income, transfer tokens to exchanges or spend BIRD, all within the confines of the app. The Birdchain app will be an Android exclusive.

Cryptocurrency is very much in its infancy and currently the majority of people are investing in protocols as opposed to actual applications. Networks such as Ethereum have made functioning DAPPs on the blockchain a real possibility. Decentralized applications are thought to be the future of blockchain.

The Team Behind Birdchain

As previously stated, the Birdchain team have been a part of a European-based company known as Vertex. Vertex began an A2P SMS aggregation business known as VertexSMS in 2009. It has since gone on to deliver over 2.6 billion SMS messages across the globe for a variety of international brands pictured below:

The turnover for Vertex across the countries it operates in was estimated at between 4-5 million euros in 2017. VertexSMS is just one of many brands owned by Vertex. The founders of Vertex assembled the Birdchain team from other brands, people that have a good understanding of each other, as they have been working together for a long time. This was thought best as it creates a positive working atmosphere.

The team behind Birdchain have a wide ranging set of unique skills and have gone on to co-launch a number of successful businesses including a social network.

Birdchain – More Than Just An App

Birdchain was created to offer better and cheaper services, while also offering users the opporrunity to earn a passive income. The team are aiming to have the first version of Birdchain ready for commercial use within the next 6 months. Users will be able to earn an income immediately after the initial coin offering. Contributors to Birdchain will be first in line to test the new app. Feedback from them will then be considered in order to improve the app.

The Birdchain app, which will be officially presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2019, will feature an interface allowing users to communicate with friends and family. There will also be a possibility to gain cryptocurrency using SMS messages.

Birdchain is the first application of it’s kind to generate a Global Basic Income for its users, with the team estimating a possible income of between $30-300 per month through use of the app.

The Target Market

Due to a monopolization of the market, the once safe, fast and reliable practice of SMS marketing has become somewhat distorted. Despite this worrying trend, demand still continues to increase every year. SMS is an exceptional tool for marketing with 99% of messages being opened. When compared to a medium such as e0mail marketing, SMS simply blows the competition away.
