Democracy Improvement Chain Whitepaper (DICWhit)
This proposal outlines a blockchain based solution to the pressing problem of ill-considered, indolent or malicious expenditure of 'votes' throughout the internetz and also in IRL democratic exercises.
Stratum I (ST1)
Exactly one ST1 token will be issued to each individual on Earth. New tokens will be issued gradually through the mechanisms of human procreation outlined in Appendix 1A. Tokens are non-transferrable and will expire through, but not limited to, normal attritional factors attaching to human mortality (Appendices 2A-Y).
Stratum II (ST2)
ST2 tokens are generated by ST1 tokens and bestowed on the holder of the ST1 token at a daily rate tethered to the median expected lifespan of the holder of the ST1 token. ST2 tokens may be expended by voting in democratic elections, online polls, upvoting or downvoting opinions on online forums etc.
Stratum III (STC)
STC coins are generated by the expenditure of ST2 tokens and held in a global escrow on behalf of the exponster of the ST2 token for a period of 6 months.
Stratum IV (STV)
ST4 tokens are generated in the same manner as ST2 tokens, but are disbursed on a 6 month delay. These tokens allow individuals to leverage the immense power of collective hindsight to pass pitiless judgement (as defined in Appendix 4B) or confer grudging praise (TBD) on the outcomes of decisions that have been made by ST2 holders in the past. The STC coins of those who have been collectively deemed to have voted foolishly will devalue in proportion to the magnitude of their folly, and the STC coins of those who have been deemed to have made wise decisions will appreciate in value. Higher value STC coins can be used to apply greater weight to the holders votes in future internet spats, elections or referenda, or they may be exchanged for cash. Conversely, lower value STC coins lower the weighting attached to the opinion of the holder in future votes, or they may be exchanged for cash.
