Waiting on first ever funds to clear into Coinbase and it's Killing me!
Last Thursday I got really seriously interested in crypto. I remember back in the early years of 2000, being a freshly graduated from hs bum! Between jobs, playing more video games (WoW) then working or being productive. It was a good time and a bad time. I remember hearing about Bitcoin and being very interested in it, yet at the same time in setting up my wallet and linking to my bank, I was skeptical of hackers just trying to steal my bank info!
Here we are, flash forward almost 15 years and I'm financially stable, own a home, good job and still not married/no kids. It's time! Long overdue to get back into it. So I set up my Coinbase and get it all verified and my Gdax is all verified and ready. Now all we can do is wait for that first deposit of funds to clear. I've been glued to screens watching the numbers and the trends. I spotted TRON right out of the gate and now its a hot item. I just can't wait to start riding these waves!
My plan is to diversify and spread my money out. Some long term HODL investments into LTC, and BTC. But the exciting part for me is the small investments into the cheaper crypto. I plan to reinvest profit from the short term gains into the long term Crypo BTC/LTC. Before I make any moves, I figure I will post up here and see what folks say? Any and all advice is welcome.
Not trying to get rich quick. I know this is going to take time and research. I've been reading into Ripple and although I hate banks and their corruptibility, I do see the draw to a crypto that can interface with banks. Another I keep hearing about it Verge because its one of the most secure crypto personally. I'm still on the fence with both, and I will be watching the charts before I do anything but I wanted to toss the idea out to the community here to see what people have heard.
Another interesting thing I've been reading is about Mining crypto. When it comes to hardware, it seems the only viable options are pieces from years and years ago! Seems odd that no one is putting out new hardware. Until now? I read an article that in the first quarter of 2018 there will be a new mining rig coming out which will be more efficient and use the same or nearly the same power consumption. Very interesting! just figured I'd mention it here. Thoughts?
