Visa and Mastercard was originally a joint venture of the major banks and were thr main shareholders of them before their IPOs years ago. This continues to demonstrate how entangled the traditional financial system is and why blockchain and the cryptocurrencies behind them are seen as a risk to most of their business models. Its weird that the exchange system described for Coinbase is not better understood as I see it similar to “market making” that takes place on stock exchanges which is done to provide liquidity to the trading of certain assets. This is why the operators some times marks up the price when compared to the price quoted. This is certainly not a new concept.
I certainly need Crypo since due to my nationality neither Visa or Master Card will allow me to use their services. Looking forward to all the opportunities I can get from Crypto.
I need crypto because it gives me alternate payment options. I like having multiple means of exchange for services or goods. The more ways you have to make settlements gives you an edge in business and SHTF. Love your videos! Great Job!!!
