Holo: P2P Hosting Distributed Internet Pays In Crypto
So there's a campaign on Indiegogo for Holo, which is hardware & software that offers this:
Holo is helping to grow a more human Internet — where you control your personal data and choose how your applications work. With Holo, you share your computer's spare capacity to help others connect to peer-to-peer apps. When people use the apps you host, you can get rewarded in cryptocurrency by the app's creators.
It's 200% funded it's got about a month left.
Essentially, you invest in the hardware, hook it up, share your free space and get paid for the space you share in Holo Fuel, their cryptocurrency. Their goal, it seems, is to create a truly distributed internet at the HUMAN level.
Seems interesting, not sure how I feel about it. But some of the rewards are enticing, including training camps that teach you how to build apps and services on their framework the Holochain.
What do you guys think?
Hi @mariogiancini I see you are using 100% power up option. You might not want to do that. I wrote a detailed post explaining why, you should read it.
DON'T USE 100% POWER UP - You Will Lose a Lot of Money
thank me later ;)
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a read!
It seems like a really worthwhile project!
I've invested in a Holo box with some profits that I made from investing in SUB coins. I feel Holo to be a better long-term option as they have an actual product. I'm excited for their ICO!
Yeah, I agree that it seems like a worth while project and seriously contemplating supporting it.
