Tons of people were rushing in to support bit coin in it's rise to 20,000 a coin. A sell off gradually brought it back to the price it is today. Now many of the speculators are gone. It's important to realize that even if bit coin goes to a penny it can still be used as a means to send a low cost transaction quickly across the world. Compare it to a bank wire! Yes, I understand that an alt coin may one day take it over. By the way, Steem has zero cost transactions and processes fast.
Believing in Decentralization, Anti-Inflation
Not having a government control the money, using bit coin, completely removes inflation. 21 million coins will be produced end of story. Lower and middle classes are not punished by inflation. Of course the fight to raise minimum wage would continue.

I think more vendors will accept bit coin and more bit coin atms will pop up. It will take a while for bit coin to really reach common presence. That's all I got :)
