BLOODBATHS IN CRYPTO
As I see it, bumps along the road are just more opportunities for those without fear.
Paper money and systems with no real tracking are not the future. Governments losing
trillions and keeping everyone in perpetual debt is a can they can only kick down the road so far.
Eventually, people start to realize it is just a game where the winners make the rules and hope
the losers never ask why. Myself, I will stay right at the center of the storm, holding, and just ride
it out like I always do, without the slightest worry.
At times like this when prices are falling its worth keeping a sense of perspective.
Just take a look at the six-month charts. BTC/USD is up around 150% for that time period, even after deducting the latest falls. Many altcoins are up a great deal more than that, some even 1000% and more. You don't get that with stocks, let alone with any Forex or commodity.
I can't promise everything will be ok, but I do know that the only way to win big is to be a contrarian
and understand the underlying reasons why this is so popular.
Two different methods for upgrading bitcoin, SegWit2x and BIP148, are set to go into effect July 21 and Aug. 1, respectively. Initially the systems were incompatible, threatening to split bitcoin in two and likely reducing its value. However, a developer announced earlier this month a way to make the two methods compatible, helping bitcoin recover from lows of the month.

I have sold during enough blood baths to learn my lesson, and then bought in higher a couple days later. In the end we all take our own risks of course, just a heads up for the new people. This is normal. It does not always go up. I have seen huge swings in my portfolio over a week many times now.
