Hackers steal 60 Million from the Zaif Exchange

Thefts and hacking continue, this year the attacks have been growing, this time it was the Exchange Zaif of Japan where they reported losses of up to 60 million dollars.
The attack was announced on Monday, September 17 when the Exchange alerted its clients and suspended transfers, deposits and withdrawals; then on Tuesday September 18 was that they alerted the authorities.

Apparently the attack happened on September 14 from the company's hot wallet, a digital portfolio where exchange firms have funds ready for exchanges, so they do not have high security measures.

As for the stolen funds they claimed that the hackers stole the amount to 6.7 billion yen (60 million dollars) in Bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash and MonaCoin.

Of the totality of the funds 32% belongs to the company in capital gains, while the rest corresponded to the clients.

Zaif's management has already assured that they will try to obtain a loan in order to cancel the debt that they have with the clients.
