While graphics cards might get faster hash rates, they will never compete with ASIC hardware
But on the other hand, there isn't ASIC hardware for all cryptocurrentcy for now, I wouldn't use a graphics card to mine unless you do have a lot of money to spend on a mining rig. In my opinion, you would spend a lot more money on a mining rig with GPUs than you would with an ASIC miner.
