How to Trade on Poloniex for Beginners

First of all, I would like to emphasize that there are no referrals on Poloniex, i.e. you and your success are dependent only on your knowledge, experience and investment.

Firstly, you must create an account on the Poloniex website. You will have to provide several basic information, such as your name, surname, country and email. After completing and validating your account, you will notice lots of numbers. Don't get confused or scared!
Lets first add some funds to your balance. You will notice the Balance option in the top right corner. Choose the currency, e.g. Bitcoin, You will see your deposit address on the screen. Use this address to send the funds from your bitcoin wallet. The average time from sending to receiving your money is 15 minutes. However, don't panic if this lasts longer than usual. It may take even up to 7 hours.

After receiving your money, observe the top toolbar where you will see three options: Exchange, Margin trading and Lending. After choosing the Exchange option, you will see the list, price, volume and change of coins available for trading. Additionally, you can check its lowest price in the past 24 hrs, as well as the max price and graphs. In the very beginning, the graphs will most probably be confusing you, but later, you will get used to using them and find them extremely helpful.

If you have made your decision on the coin you want to buy, simply click on it and three options will appear in the bottom of your screen. You should fill-in the "Buy" option with the amount and price. I recommend setting the price lower than the current price, simply in order to earn more money. The same procedure - filling the amount and price - goes for selling the coins. Of course, you should set the initial selling price higher than the current one.

You can start exploring the Poloniex with small amounts. However, I recommend reading some guides, watching some videos or talking to experienced users prior to trading.
