WAVES is a platform that enables you to make custom tokens (launch your own cryptocurrencies) and provides decentralize trading and crowdfunding. We can get interest on our WAVES account balance by either leasing or staking WAVES tokens. This post will show you how to lease your WAVES tokens.

Step 1: Create account with WAVES client

There are 2 ways to create account with WAVES client, you can either use Online Client or download WavesLiteApp. And then click 'NEW ACCOUNT' to create WAVES account.

Store your 'WALLET SEED' safely, you need this SEED to restore your account. Type in your 'NAME' and 'PASSWORD' and click 'REGISTER'. Now, you have a WAVES account with WAVES public address.

Step 2: Get WAVES token

You need WAVES token in order do leasing. You can get WAVES from these exchanges. After that, send WAVES to your WAVES wallet public address. You can get your public address from the top of the WAVES wallet (refer to the diagram below).

Your WAVES balance will show up in the wallet a short while.

Step 3: Lease your WAVES

Go to 'Leasing' tab. Under 'BALANCE LEASING', fill in the recipient address and the amount that you want to lease. You can obtain the recipient address from various WAVES pools.

I lease my WAVES to WavesPool.NET. You can lease your WAVES to any pool that you desire. WavesPool.NET payout is on weekly basis (every Friday). This is how you lease your WAVES token, happy leasing.

Stop Leasing

You can stop leasing anytime. Click on the icon (refer to diagram below).

And then, click 'Cancel Leasing'. That's it.
