Foppo12 says "Do you think that an already existing coin would be viable for overtaking a national market or do you think governments will create new coins to replace their existing currencies?

I completely agree. I really liked your point about "maybe in 100 years." People are only looking at the short term (even just days and weeks ahead) instead of looking at the long term future ... and blockchain and crypto is definitely here to stay. Thanks for sharing!

Even if they do not make crypto for each country I believe that soon or later we'll all have the same currency. Maybe it will be crypto one.

There is little need for governments to create their own cryptocurrencies, unless they want to move fiat using distributed ledger technology. A crypto euro would be a euro just like euro in any other form (banknote, numbers on a bank account etc.). A rose is a rose ...

Fiat in DLT form could have certain benefits. It could be used for micro transactions on the Internet, for instance. Banks or other financial institutions could run the nodes. Steem has shown that DPoS can scale adequately. Wallets could be implemented as browser plug-ins.

Very interesting video Louis, Government owned Crypto's will be a pain!

interesting post

Yeh I thought I read somewhere that the US Government is one of the largest holders of bitcoin or cryptocurrency....not sure where I read that or if it is even accurate.
