There's a Bigger Scam Than Anything in Crypto, It's Called KYC/AML

The KYC practice may be the biggest enemy of decentralized cryptocurrency . Nowadays, all cryptocurrency exchanges require their customers to provide their ID proof, and many innovative projects aim to provide financial service to developing country's people especially lower income people, however, those people and imigrants may not have an appropriate government-issued ID and then will be left out of the crypto-world.
