While I have all confidence in the creation of a wonderful EOS.io blockchain, I have no confidence at all in the EOS coin we could buy, (I have sold mine with a loss) Since on the eos.io website it is clearly mentioned that this EOS coin has no relation to any new EOS.io blockchain technology, nor will it be related in the future, it is a coin without use or function. Its value is absolutely ZERO, imho.
