In the last month there where three companies who announced that they would add a cryptocurrency to there product. That is bit of a surprise. But it also shows that the mainstream starts to take cryptocurrency serious. And that the market will fragment even more.

Admiralty this is only a leak of an advertising video. But it looks pretty impressive and Telegram has a lot of users who would all become instant users of there cryptocoin.

If I interpret the video currently the TON is mostly a payment system and not a competitor to Steem.

Mind recently announced that it too would add a crypto currency to there already existing monetisation.

If Minds will allow to exchange there existing points with the new Mind-Token the this would be pretty much be the same system as Steemit.

If not then it would just be a payment system for readers to pay authors.

Conclusion

I am not two worried for Steem — yet. None of the contender have announced a reward system like Steem has got.

What is a bit annoying is thee more cryptocurrencies to the already 1384 cryptocurrencies (at time of typing).
