The big dogs are considered as the top ranked Currencies on Coinmarketcap.com, a few examples are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, etc... These coins have been well established and seems to be that they will be around for the long run. Investing in these coins is the safest play due to them having a great backing behind them meaning there is an entire business behind them unlike some coins out there that are run by a few people or even just one person. Investing in these coins will bring a solid return as Crypto continues to become more and more popular. If you are looking for those crazy returns like 1,000% or higher then you want to look into the ICO's. I am not saying that these coins can't make returns like that because they definitely are capable. Investing in the big dogs is the safest play.

This site shows info on the Cryptos that have not been fully established yet. Investing in a company that has not launched yet is a huge risk but it also can payout millions and billions of dollars. If you are a risk taker these Crypto's are for you. If you invest $1000 on an ICO that you got at $.01. Then 3 months later it reaches $.10, $1, $10, and even $100. You would have $100,000 on a $1,000 investment. If you invested $10,000 then you'd be a millionaire! Also don't forget this company could easily crash but if you do your research and understand what their goals are and who is backing them then you should be able to make a pretty damn good educated guess.
