Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho launches his own cryptocurrency (RSC)

Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho, will soon be launching his own cryptocurrency named Ronaldinho Soccer Coin. The RSC token has been developed on the NEO network in partnership with a blockchain startup based in Malta.

More and more blockchain organizations are inviting stars and famous sportspeople to participate in their project to gain popularity. The young Maltese company World Soccer Coin (WSC) teamed up with the former world champion footballer with the Brazil team in 2002 to launch a cryptocurrency dedicated to various projects related to football.

An ICO will be held in a few days (beginning of the private sale on July 15, 2018) and aims to raise funds to finance the construction of 300 stadiums around the world over the next 3 years. Land that will include blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR).

Thanks to these new technologies, WSC wants to develop an AI-based camera system in the stadiums in order to track and record the players' skills in the blockchain.

But this is not the only project of the firm, WSC said want to set up an E-sports platform to bet on matches. In addition, a "Smile" project will be launched with the aim of offering football-related products to children, building infrastructures for disabled children and setting up scholarships for young promising prodigies. Finally, a fast and secure payment system will be proposed.
