If you like pocket change. The reason why they can pay you 3% referral bonus is because their fees are 10%. You can't use shapeshift for trading.

Trading implies that you do it to make money. If you want to exchange small amounts of play money, it's great, but any amount that is meaningful you get killed by the fees.
