RE: Is Tauchain Agoras in Good Hands?

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

First of all, this is not even close to Bitconnect, it's almost an insult lol. I easily took hundreds of hours studying this project and its related materials. Tau doesn't need a token at all, that is just going to be like the Internet. Agoras, on the other hand is a marketplace on Tau and it's the closest to being able to invest in it. He was very clear from the start about this arrangement so I'm not sure where you're saying what you're saying unless you're just repeating what other naysayers are saying.

As for your perception that he's self praising, I seriously don't know what to say about that. Maybe it's whatever culture you're in that gives you that lens. To me, it's certainly more just like a passing comment about him being there before commercial industries make buzzwords out of some of these professions.

Thanks for your warning though, appreciate it. But I just honestly think it's unwarranted. Check out the github and the recent slew of posts. There has been a breakthrough since December 2017. Also, whoever wrote the bravenewcoin article clearly didn't understand the project by the way. My opinion is that it's more much likely fail in practice (as in user behaviour) than being a scam.

lets hope that the concerns are unwarranted and everything goes as they say. i did not mean to offend and i agree that they are not outright scam like bitconnect, but there idea has a lot of outlandish claims which they might not be able to deliver at all.

i will not take them as ready at this point for being recommended as investment by anybody apart from some person involved with the project.

i must admit that his messages in chat felt like bragging and offending at the same time. so perhaps i went overboard a bit in not liking this guy.

my handwritten datatsructures will be x10 faster at least.

im writing fast sw since people around were in highschool if born even

Appreciate the concern, it's understandable. Personally, I don't think it's outlandish. It's quite a logical and non-trivial implementation. Haha, btw I don't think he was bragging. It's just what he has been doing all along. Being able to reduce 7000 lines of code into 200 lines for one of the components really takes deep skills to be able to pull it off.

Yes Tau is high risk. It is also high reward. It's one of the most ambitious projects in the crypto space. That is the point and why so many people want to support it.
