First mainstream article positing that NEO (antshares) could become the leading cryptocurrency
As you know I've been very excited about NEO in my previous posts. In the last week it went up from around $7 to $42. It has pulled back a bit but only to $33 at the moment so quite some rise. Unlike many of the coins that are pumped and dumped in turn, this one has fundamentally good design and business model. Rather than repeating all the things I've said in previous posts I'll allow the more eloquent huff post to tell you wheat's so special about it.
To be fair I think you can compare it with ethereum and ask if it will take a lot of ethereum's market share (or surpass it altogether) but I don't think it is directly comparable with Bitcoin as it has a completely different primary use case. Personally I think it will take a lot of market share in China and maybe outside as well for all the reasons mentioned in this article. But my views are for entertainment only - I'm not qualified to provide any investment advice and this is not investment advice - you must do your own research.

The Wallet for OSX users remains a downer; I've been unable to accomplish a full sync and have only been able to assure myself of my holdings through the TX ID. I know it's allocated to my wallet; however, I sure would like to see the numbers in my own desktop wallet. BTW - I read your previous info regarding the sync accelerator and all - still no joy. That said, it's fun to watch NEO's value tick up.. and up... and up.

Follow Up - I learned this morning about an OSX Wallet - NEON. It's available through the NEO Website. It works! It's FAST! It calculates NEO GAS and lets you post the GAS to your wallet every five minutes. I didn't like the unencrypted WIF to login to the wallet; however, so far NEO seems awesome! NEON was apparently created by a lone programmer - reminds me, I have to send him some GAS for his fine work!
It is pretty good, I got in when it was $7 and my profits tripled looking to buy more and stake it in a wallet to get GAS dividends.
Sounds like it's doing pretty good.

It has been all the rage! With a rise from $7 to $42, I would be too nervous to buy in, maybe wait for a dip? Unless you have been riding it all the way up?
I bought (my sadly small) holding below $8 but wish I could have bought more. I don't know how to judge the timing on this one and I can't do technical analysis. Long term (in 10 -15 years) I think it could go to $1000 (if ethereum in the long term got to cisco's 2017 market cap and NEO was the ratio of ethereum that alibaba is to amazon) but that doesn't mean it won't have some big crashes en route. And this is not investment advice as I'm not a professional investor and am not qualified to give advice. It is just my personal opinion shared for an exchange of views for entertainment purposes.
