SBD Value vs. USD Value. Help for New Steemit Users
Steemians, help a brother out. Are my SBD earnings pegged to the USD, in that no matter what the market value of 1 SBD is (currently around $5.65), when cashing out from Steemit, I only earn the amount of SBD that equals $1 USD for every 1.00 SBD earned that I cash out? Or am I going to earn the market value in my conversion, in which case I receive a full 1.00 SBD (at $5.65) for every 1.00 SBD I withdraw from Steemit.
I haven't been able to find an answer to this, so wanted to check in with the community, since I think this will also help many other new users.
Any clarification that you can provide is much appreciated!
Hi @jumpmaster, IMO when you’re cashing out, you’re going to get the convertion rate equivalent at the current market price during the transaction.
So he would receive the 1.00 woth of SBD or 5.66=1 SBD
If you cash out 1 SBD, 1 SBD equals to the market price $5.66
1SBD = $5.66

I've been having the same questions.
Do you know if the more Steem Power one has=the bigger voting power and payouts one gets?
The amount of Steem power an account has in relation to the Voting weight allocated per Upvote and the Voting power percentage at the time of interaction (Upvotes, Comments, and Replies) determines the size of the rewards (among other factors like the Vote value of users that interact with the post and the exact time they interacted with it).
Hence an account's Voting value is mainly affected by the accounts Steem power.
Voting power starts at %100 and begins to decrease by 2% with each Upvote the account Upvotes and it regenerates at a 20% rate every 24 hours (I think so, but can't be too sure for now).
Hence the worth of rewards for an Upvote of %100 Voting power, %100 Voting weight, and 100 Steem power, would be more than a %75 Voting power, %100 Voting weight and 100 Steem power.
And the same applies; the worth of Upvote of %100 Voting power, %100 Voting weight, and 100 Steem power, would be less than a %75 Voting power, %100 Voting weight and 200 Steem power.

Having delegated Steem power directly influences your Steem power during the time of delegation, which in return increases your accounts Voting value, which then gives higher rewards.
