So you can strike it more likely that way. Plus you are less likely to foolishly trade it knowing how long it took you to get it. If you are going to die tomorrow, sure, risk it all, but if you plan for a few more decades, then take a decade to do it right. your future self will thank you.
The more short term the more intense the emotions. Hard to master but possible. If we don't like stress we shouldn't do it.
