RE: MinnowSmith payout for 2018-6-24: 0.143$

This is interesting - I am giving it a try. I currently cpu mine xmr on 2 computers. I'll stop that and try this for a bit. It is reporting a much lower hash rate than my mining software, so I doubt it will pay as well as direct mining - but I'll give it a go.

Hey jk6276,

thanks for stepping into the project and try it out. I can imagine that this is not as efficient as mining directly, you still should be able to get like 70% of your default hashrate when mining directly. It's propably also not supposed to be a benefit for a proficient miner, but it will bring benefit for some minnows new to the steem/blockchain ecosystem. It's a first possible touching point, what is also the target. :)

Cheers.

I can definitely see benefit as an introduction to mining. If it does get to around 70%, then that's pretty good. The transfer fees for XMR eat up a lot of the mined total for me. Being paid out in SBD saves me on transferring my XMR through blocktrades. A promising project and i'll keep you posted.

Thank you very much and don't hesitate to contact me or give me some updates. :)

If you have any idea for the project or can give me some help, e.g. you now a designer for a logo, I'm open. :)

I'm going to run it for 24 hours to see. I don't think it will add up for someone currently mining in a serious way, but its definitely looks like a great way for a newbie to get involved - and so simple to use.

It would be interesting to make a comparison, do you know what outcome in SBD you have right now daily with mining directly and subtracting the exchange fees? :)

Anyway, thanks for using it and trying it out.
