I'm not a trader, so normally I don't buy/sell with the short term in mind. Mostly I just sell when something is rising too much (BTC at the moment?) or with a predifined threshold.
I think i would buy iota again under $1.5. (This is not financial advice). It can take a long time till it reaches that price again..
I think it won't go back to 1.5 or any price below $2. Since there will be more releases and or quality announcements.And that is happening spontaneously this month of December 2017 and January 2018. Plus getting more developments in the very near future. Maybe $3.5 is more feasible if ever it drops.
