1- Russia has been trying to pass cryptocurrency legislation since the beginning of January 2018, with no success as of yet. The government’s main bill, “On Digital Technologies,” which was expected to be passed by July 1 — according to the wishes of President Vladimir Putin — will instead most likely be pushed back until an October Duma session.

2 - Missouri residents Joseph Harris, 21, and Fletcher Robert Childers, 23, have been arrested because of their alleged involvement in hacking and stealing large amounts of digital currency from a California-based crypto firm.

Both Harris and Childers were taken into police custody on Monday as authorities allege the pair stole $14 million in cryptocurrency from San Jose, California-based startup Crowd Machine.

The company established in November 2016 has developed the Kamikaze semiconductor chip which has been specifically designed to use in bitcoin mining machines. This chip will be applying 7 nm chips, allowing it to be several times denser than the traditional 16 nm mining chips used by other companies.
