Status (SNT)

I was asked about a coin called Status (SNT).

Just at first glance, the application seems to be a way to trade and store Ethereum, as well as having a lite client that allows a user to reach other applications built on the Ethereum network.

Their website states:

"Decentralized Apps at your fingertips

With Status your mobile device becomes a light client node on the Ethereum Network, enabling you to access Ethereum’s entire ecosystem from anywhere."

The website is a bit confusing as to what the application will do. It appears they want to have an exchange, social network & games all available in one application.

The concept feels like it is over complicating and will not end up being user-friendly. I am not aware of anyone on the team building this coin. As it is an open source application with a core group of developers, the development team doesn't seem expereienced. Perhaps have qualifications to pull it off, but I'm not certain they are an experienced group of developers.

The website fails to announce the qualifications of the core developers or link them to anything that tells me who they are.

This coin seems like it has a long way before I would be willing to invest.
