What is the Best Platform for trading Crypto Currency?

My business associates and I are new to crypto. I am personally taking online classes to learn more and gather a better understanding of the intricacies of crypto and block chains.

Our issue is that we are still unsure of the best applications for buying and selling.

We currently operate across international borders and use a variety of currencies from just as many countries. We are getting burned with fees on both ends of our transactions, sometimes as much as three times per move. For example: a percentage is charged to convert pounds to dollars; another percentage is charged to receive the pounds to dollars, then another fee is charged to take money out of the bank. Sometimes this works out to be 40%.

We have been told, that is the way it is. It is the cost to do business. We find this unacceptable.

To negate some of these transaction fees and for many other reasons, we would like to start trading in crypto currencies and using it for commerce.

We have been fearful of getting into the crypto market due to lack of knowledge and inexperience. However, with the bubbles in worldwide finance and with markets crashing, we feel we are running out of time and need to stay ahead of the curve before opportunities are lost.

That said, our question to the group is severalfold: What is the best platform for trading crypto currencies? Why and why not? What concerns should we have as novice blockchain investors? What are some of the negative issues that could adversely affect our bottom line?

Any answers from the group will be greatly appreciated. As we learn and grow in knowledge, we will share what we learn as novices to the steemit group and the world at large.
