Greed has be in the system ever since bitcoin and other crypto currencies began to climb but I feel like it won’t last for long

·

Agreed. We are all guilty of being greedy. Doesn't everyone in Cryptos want to make money?

Yeah for sure but there is a difference between greed and making money. Why do u think this BTC price happens? Some people manipulate the price and a lot of people who only care about the price jump in and tries to get some quick money. This is only based on greed. It might work for some but a lot of people will burn heavily. The current price is nonsense - there is no true value on BTC, it's slow as fuck and transactions are extremely expensive compared to others. Also, it's not even a legal accepted currency (at least not here in Europe) - the only "value" it provides is that it's the main trading pair on most exchanges. Imagine that one day there is a cheaper and faster crypto which replace BTC as the main trading pair. Not saying this will happen - but it could, just think about it ;-)

Well said!

The full potential hasn't been reached yet, some of these can be alternative networks for outsourcing, distributing, or storing, some type of asset such as data or hashing power. And that's just my first idea essentially for a new currency, or better yet a Dapp Because I think if we burst in Q1 2018, if a network ever got large enough to run or outsource some huge computation or maybe rendering, like if Pixar said they use X Dapp on Ethereum there would be another bubble once people understand the usefulness of distributed applications. If ever. If not, we tried.

The utility just has to catch up with the price, thats all. Steem for ex has pretty good utility, helps promote my content and things! so just something to be cautious of. When people buy without caring what it is thats when prices tend to go higher then they are actually worth.

I agree I've got the steem python and js libs/modules installed last night because I want to start showing people what we can do.

As Mike Novogratz says... "There is no bubble until the big money come"! The bubble will not pop before a couple of trillions MktCap comes up... Big financial institutions are yet to come.....write it down!

Really like your level-headed realistic approach towards cryptocurrency. Most of the reviewers/commentators on cryptocurrency are overly enthusiastic and go overboard with their optimism and praise for cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency reviews that I can find of internet are either totally negative (false propaganda) , or Too much sugar-coated.

Great to see a level-headed and realistic person commenting on cryptos. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up.

Can you please suggest some coins that you think are useful and practical crypocurrencies and have real value for future ?

By "Steem Shares" you mean Steem Power aka vested shares? I never heard of the dividend you mentioned. I looked it up in the blue paper and didn't find it.

It's a User Issued Asset on Bitshares that Jacob created on his own to reward his followers who have the SteemShares token. He posted on it a number of times a while back. I own some. I think it's a great experiment.
