France and crypto friendship

Dear Steemiatians

A few hours before the expected joint declaration by France and Germany on cryptocurrencies, scheduled at the G20 in Buenos Aires, Les Echos published an optimistic article on the imminent legalization of the ICO required by the MFA (the French authority that regulates financial markets).

Les Echos cites sources close to the Ministry of Finance, which outline a regulatory framework very similar to that already seen in Germany, where legalization has just taken place.

It will be a legalization tending to make the use of ICOs as a source of funding for new start-ups, with a view to supporting development and technological innovation, of which, as we have said in other articles, countries Europeans know they desperately need to win the competition with the US, Russia and China.

If the optimism of Les Echo is founded, this piece of news is one more piece to understand what the tenor of the joint declaration announced by France and Germany at the G20 will be.

Indeed, more and more there is a European policy in sharp contrast with the American policy with regard to this sector.
While in America large companies are currently hampered by the non-existence of a political project that takes charge of this innovation, in Europe we would instead draw a red legislative carpet to avoid losing the train of this epochal transformation.

After this news, we are more anxious than ever to know what France and Germany will say at the G20 and what positions the other countries will assume during this meeting.

This is the first G20 for which a cross-cutting discussion on cryptocurrencies has been announced (unofficially) between all countries, so we will follow all the developments of this important event.

This is good news indeed. However, with more dext coming out like Komodo, it will make little difference to whether governments allow it or not.

Between Kim Dotcom building a decentralised internet and Komodo, Eos and other project coming out, governments and bankers won't be able to affect the market even if they through a massive temper tantrum 😁
