VORTIX's MySAFE Vault
Vortix's MySAFE vault is being designed for the security of customer's digital valuables. Just the mere mention of a vault, people will have the idea of what it is about. Vault, before digitalization, is commonly thought of as a secured box or room whether in a bank, office or house where the security is in its maximum or at least better than just a locked drawer.
Usually in the past, bad guys who lurk around targets valuable things within their area but because of the digital valuables which users conveniently can access anywhere, unfortunately, some bad guys can do so too. Now, the physical vault may still aide in the security of digital valuables but how secure would one feel if there is also a digital vault?
Vortix's MySAFE digital vault is an under development product that offers added security. It uses the blockchain technology and will be mostly available on the Ethereum Ecosystem. With this technology, vaults will be under layers and layers of security making the data stored as secure and completely safe and confidential as much as possible. Unlike some of the physical vault where the transfer of the valuables needs a lot of different and additional security during the transfer either to or from the vault, MySafe vault, through Ethereum Ecosystem, is securely fully transferable. The design of MySafe is said to be on a complete scalable format meaning the documents or files that you can upload is countless. Some of the digital valuables or files that can be stored and encrypted are videos, medical reports, digital shares certificates, crypto coins, e-bonds, and many others. Also, a mixed of online-physical is being considered in the future stages.
As physical vaults have different brands and all, Vortix is expected to release 3 MySAFE vaults within a year and a half (18 months). The following vaults are Steel Vault, GoldCarbon Vault, KryptoTitanium Vault. Steel Vault is the only one which is not allowed for sharing but all of them have transfer attributes and a one year contract. Regarding the MySAFE contract, notifications are available to remind the expiration date and a 5-day period to renew. In case of non-renewal, digital files are available for recovery in 15 days, inability to do so will result for the files to be burned unless you are subscribed to MySAFE's Data Insurance Feature which have a longer recovery time period and files are instead sent to you, rather than burned, to your email, encrypted and decryptable using the user's original vault key.
Not all people understand what the MySAFE digital vault can offer since oftentimes, digital storage or apps usually promises security so some may not find this to be something new and amazing so let's talk about how MySAFE works. In your device with the MySAFE app on it, you will select a file you want to store. The order is then given to MySAFE, keys are generated, the original file at the origin is encrypted and then files are backed up, the device will be cleaned, logs will be deleted, and in and outs related threads. Now the single copy encrypted will be transmitted securely. Now the files in the vault are available for transfer and retrieval by user's request and using the generated keys.
The Vortix's product, MySAFE vault have the following important event on its roadmap. On 2018 third quarter, the MySAFE vault beta version will be released. In the fourth quarter of the same year, the first product will be released on sale. The second product release is scheduled for the second quarter of 2019 and the third product and fully scalable product release will be in the third quarter of 2019.
