It helps a lot that the current US president is a massive BTC investor. I'm sure he's given his team "hands off" instructions, within the limits of agencies he can. He's definitely not above setting policy in a way that benefits him personally. Thankfully in this case it benefits all of us too.

At the upcoming global meeting (Mar/Apr) where Europe seems to really want to regulate crypto with global policy, the US is likely to be a holdout on any new global regulations that may harm the industry's growth.
