Wagerr (WGR) Tokens Withdrawal - Important Update, Guide to Waves Wallet Creation and SCAM ALERT + Part 1! #cryptocurrency
Hello everyone,
As you may know, in my last post about Wagerr from last month I was writing that I bought some Wagerr Coins. I grabbed only 200 coins because I can not invest more at this time, other investments of mine : Sia Coin, BAT, STEEM, SBD, OPUS Token
Today I have withdrawn my tokens from my wallet on the wagerr.com website to waves wallet.
Failing to withdraw your tokens correctly will result in losing your tokens.
From the wagerr website: Withdrawal from wagerr.com is optional. You may choose to leave your balance on your wagerr.com dashboard until the Wagerr mainnet launches in late Q4, at which time there will be a mandatory withdraw window.
If you do not choose to withdraw your Wagerr coins to Waves now, keep paying attention. Once the WGR mainnet goes live, you will have a limited window to withdraw from wagerr.com.
Wagerr Waves tokens can be sent to any exchanges that decides to list it in the future.
When the full Wagerr blockchain main network launches (estimated late Q4, 2017), intermediary Wagerr tokens on Waves can be redeemed at a 1:1 ratio.
How to withdraw your tokens
First you will need to create a waves wallet by either adding a plugin in your chrome browser or downloading the apps.
Here is a link to the Waves Wallet for Chrome Browser, Google Play Store Link, Apple Store Link
Click on the WavesLite Icon located your your apps , here is a google chrome screengrab:
You will be presented with a window, click the button create account, if you already have an account just click the address above the buttons.
When you create an account, you will be presented with a windows that reminds you to backup you SEED, you can use that seed to recover your account. If you lose it, you just lost you account, so keep it safe.
After you login into your Wagerr account click the Withdraw button located on the right hand side.
After you click I understand option, you will be able to enter your details, choose a password that has at least one uppercase, one lower case, one number and one symbol. In my case I just open Notepad and write random letters, numbers and symbols.
After you click register you will be presented with the wallet interface. Congratulations you just created a Waves Wallet.
Now, before anything, I recommend backing up your wallet details, just in case you did not yet do that.
In your wallet, if you click the first button on your upper right hand side (the one with a database logo) you will be presented with a new window
Click Copy and open Notepad and paste the details there. Save that text file somewhere on your hard-drive ( you could archive the text file add a password to the archive and store it online )
Now that you have you wallet go to the Wagger.com website , login and click the withdraw button
You will be presented with a new windows in which you are asked to enter your waves wallet address
Go to your waves wallet, copy the address (triple check this part!) and paste it into the address field and then click withdraw.
You will now receive an email from the wagger team asking you to confirm the withdrawal, just click process withdrawal.
Great! Your withdrawal has been processed and in a few minutes or less the tokens will show up into your waves wallet.
Just check Recent Transactions or Portofolio. Congratulations!
What is up with the HITLER token ? I used a link from a facet located at https://wavesdrop.com/ that gave me some waves tokens and a random token; that random token is the HITLER token.
The SCAM part of the post
It seems that I do not have time to grab everything on the scam, but I will do a second post as soon as I get a bit of free time.
The SCAM consists of users using Slackbot on the Slack platform to message you directly saying that you need to check your wallet and give you a scammy website in which you enter your details thus stealing away your wallet info and coins.
More of this in the second part of the post.
Edit: a clarification on the scam here https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@ideagenerator/why-was-my-post-down-voted
Edit2: As a request here is a way to spot the real wagerr tokens:
So, on the waves platform you can search for wagerr.
Now the important bit of information is this:
You need to look after Wagerr with a GREEN check-mark.
There are 7 Wagerr Tokens ( don't ask me how they are there because I do not know how they are allowed) anyway the first one with the green check-mark and with "8t8DMJFQu5GEhvAetiA8aHa3yPjxLj54sBnZsjnJ5dsw" is the real one. That is the one I got after I withdraw the tokens from the wagerr website.
Here is the info I am getting when I view the Wagerr Tokens in my portofolio.
And here they are in my account:
If you are having a hard time viewing the images , just click on the image and then select "Open image in new tab"
Hope this helps, any questions please ask and I will reply to the best of my knowledge.
Thank you for reading happy and safe steeming!
Love,
@ideagenerator
That's great!
:)
Thank you for taking the time to read the post.
But they haven't even released their official wallet yet.
And when the ICO ended, it was clearly explained that they will send out notifications when the wallet is released and everyone holding their tokens on the website will have a window of time to transfer.
So, why the hurry?
I have updated the post accordingly.
The way I see things it is better , in my view , to do it now so I can focus on other things.
I am saving all of my wallet details and when I remember to check the status on wagerr I will.
But I do not want to keep checking on their website for a mandatory withdrawal date, which will be in the late of Q4 2017.
This way I know where the coins are and now I will check back on the wager token value late December.
Less stress for me.
Thank you for your reply!
Great!
Thank you.
This is the response I got from Matthew Silk - Marketing Director
"The wagerr.com platform is not being supported indefinitely. When the Wagerr mainnet launches, users with WGR still in their ICO accounts will have a limited window to withdraw to their Wagerr wallet."
I have made a clarification on the scam part in my latest post
From their website:
Withdrawal from wagerr.com is optional.
