Can you really earn crypto for free?

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone,

Today I would like to share some of the ways that I earn cryptocurrency for free. I am aware that there are many similar posts online, but I would like to share my personal viewpoint on faucets, crowd flower tasks and the sort. Over the past 2 months or so, I have tried out my share of the more popular methods to earn bitcoin for "free".

Faucets

According to wikipedia, "faucets are a reward system, in the form of a website or app, that dispenses rewards in the form of a satoshi, which is a hundredth of a millionth BTC, for visitors to claim in exchange for completing a captcha or task as described by the website."

Faucets are a website that gives the user extremely small sums of cryptocurrency which is either donated, mined or most commonly obtained through ads. They usually gives sums of around 20 satoshi per hour give or take.
Personally, I do not recommend the majority of faucets as they provide minuscule amounts of cryptocurrency and have a high chance to be fake, with a extremely high payout cost. There are exceptions that I personally use, and I find these are legit, as well as requiring little time and effort.

List

Freebitco: https://freebitco.in/?r=11554357
Freebitco is a low paying faucet that does indeed pay. It gives around 11 satoshi per hour based on the cost of bitcoin and requires you to solve a captcha. However, it has a very clean layout with no ads at all and a direct payment to your bitcoin wallet once 30000 satoshi has been reached.
Don't fall into the trap of multiplier, thats how the site makes income. However, I do find that playing multiplier once each day has a very high win rate, so if someone can confirm this in the comments, please do.

Freedogeco:
Same as freebitco. 0.14 doge every hour, high paying compared to other doge faucets. Payout it 30 doge.

Coinpot faucets:
MoonFaucets: 5 very good faucets in my opinion. High paying if you keep constant attention, many ads which is a bit annoying. The main advantage is that faucet builds up over time up to a period of a week, so only little effort is needed for these faucets. A lot of ads, but the payout is better than Freebitco and many other faucets.
Below are the faucets:
http://moonbit.co.in/?ref=053b2dba9f45 Lowest payout, most famous, still a good faucet
http://moonliteco.in/?ref=b16703c9e903 High payout, can convert to bitcoin in coinpot
http://moonbch.co.in/ I don't use it, but feel free to try it!
http://moondash.co.in/?ref=9F3B5125591A Still a very good faucet
http://moondoge.co.in/?ref=f7952778cf56 Lower payout than freedogeco, but if you collect all 5 faucets at the same time, its very profitable.

Bitfun
http://bitfun.co/?ref=13F17CE13C0F
Initially appears to be low payout, but can also stack up to be collected with the moon faucets to coinpot.
Also, because each claim will gift 3 coinpot tokens, this faucet is equivalent to 5 satoshi every 3 minutes.

Bonus Bitcoin
http://bonusbitcoin.co/?ref=1BA2EF38A8CA
High paying every 15 minutes, set to claim average for highest gain.

All of the above coins can be converted to bitcoin in Coinpot. Coinpot gifts 3 coinpot tokens equivalent to 3 satoshi for each claim on any faucet site.

PTC sites

PTC sites are is a site where a user clicks on ads in exchange for a small sum of money.
I would not advise PTC sites as a earning method, but it is a feasible way to advertise for referrals (I have a link to this page :D)
Autosurfing is also effortless and passive income.

Most amount of ads to watch, highest amount of active users, a lot of Russians. And there is a fun referral market to play around in.

Surveys and tasks

The user completes surveys and micro-tasks for up to 5 dollars per survey or thousands of satoshis per task.
If you have spare time to kill, feel free too do some of these for some extra spending money.
I advise using any of the coin pot faucets to do these, especially Bitfun, which has the highest paying tasks as well as a wide variety of offers and surveys.

Mining

Using CPU or GPU to compute blockchain and receive rewards.
Unless you happen to own a good GPU or happen to have free electricity, I would not recommend this method.
For the general user, try Cryptotab, a chrome extension that has low payout threshold.

For others, the easy way would be to install minergate or join a pool otherwise.

Conclusion

Like it or not, there's no easy effortless method to earn crypto. None of these methods will give you a fortune, but remember it wasn't uncommon for faucets to gift what would be worth hundreds of dollars worth of crypto now each day a couple of years back. So why not?
