When I want to invest fiat (U.S. Dollars) into my Cryptocurrency investments, I purchase one of the major currencies on the Coinbase Exchange.

From Coinbase, you can add a bank account, debit card, or wire transfer payment method to your account. From there it allows you to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin with Fiat(USD).

Once you have your desired currency, or currency you wish to use to transfer money to a different exchange which unlike Coinbase; does not accept direct cash deposits (GDAX, Binance, etc..) You can then withdrawal it to whichever exchange wallet of your preference.

In my experience, I find transferring Ethereum (ETH) or Litecoin (LTC) to be the best as the confirmation times for transfer compared to Bitcoin (BTC)

For those of you that are unaware, Coinbase offers no fee transfers to the GDAX exchange. This can be VERY useful when wanting to purchase ALT coins not offered on Coinbase itself.

When it comes time to cash out, just transfer back to Coinbase from the exchange you have been using and you may withdrawal it to your bank account with a few simple confirmations.
