Debunking WeSellCrypto + Quick Guide

WeSellCrypto is a web page that allows you to buy Bitcoin, Dash, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Reddcoin with PayPal. The site claims to deliver cryptos in an easy and secure way, also guaranteeing the best transaction fees for their services.  I personally used it to buy my first Bitcoin and I can tell that what their preach is accurate. The coins were delivered within minutes without any issues.

Lately they have been having issues with their coin supply and that has risen some suspicions about its legitimacy. People have actually had concerns with WeSellCrypto previous to this supply shortage. If you google WeSellCrypto you will find a Bitcoint Talk thread titled WeSellCrypto.com Scam!? within the first results. However if you read this thread you'll find it was written by a concerned folk who was asking for testimonials of the site.

It turned out that he unwillingly made some negative campaign to WeSellCrypto but don't be fooled by the misleading title.

People also seem to dislike the fees claiming that they are too high. Personally I don't think they were high considering how easy it is to buy from this site. Fees usually range from 1.5%-3.5%. However they are very volatile so if it's too high you can wait a couple of minutes and it will usually go down a bit.

The fact that WeSellCrypto has a shortage of supply has become an issue. You will find that for the most part of the day if you go to their web site WeSellCrypto.com, you will stumble across a big title that says Purchasing Disabled.

A team member of WeSellCrypto posted on Reddit explaining the nature of their shortage. According to them this issue will be resolved in the next 2-3 weeks, however the post is 2 months old which raises a lot of doubts as to when they will be back on stock.

In the post they also detailed their funds schedule saying "Funds clear every business day, M-F around 5 PM (1700) Eastern Time. This is around when our website will re-open with inventory. Please note that when we run out over the weekend, funds won't arrive until Monday." This is also not true since I have been checking the site multiple times a day and found that they don't really follow this schedule.

So it is clear that WeSellCrypto is not a scam, but they are having some serious issues with their crypto inventory. However if you go to their site and find that they are selling don't be afraid to give it a try. This is how I bought my Bitcoin and like I said before I didn't have a single problem. Keep in mind they were small transactions.

You will have to become verified if you want to buy from them. Each verification has a higher transaction limit ranging from <$15, $15-$150, $150-$250 and >$250. You just have to send them an e-mail with specific information as explained in their Limits & Verification page. They usually respond within 1 day.

After having your verification you are free to buy by clicking in the Make A Purchase button.

This will send you to the following page where you choose which crypto to buy and their respective transaction fees. After selecting the coin you will be asked for the amount, your wallet adress and the e-mail associated to your PayPal.
