What is all the buzz about Vertcoin (VTC)

Why is Vertcoin (VTC) trending on Twitter? 

Ah, Gambiste showed for a few days that Vertcoin is trending well on Twitter.   As I tried to find out why, I decided choose another coin to post about because I couldn't find a cause. But Vertcoin kept on coming back.  So what is the buzz?  The magic here is maybe that there is no buzz.  I tell you why.  

What is different about Vertcoin? 

As you visit their official page and social media pages, you will find out soon that Vertcoin has a strong community.  Vertcoin's community seems to be quite passionate (nerdy?)  about their coin but Vertcoin doesn't really show that American style of buzzing around how big they will be.  

Around October 14 there was an uptrend (price) and at that time there were tweets about: 

• Availability of Vertcoin on the ledger
• Completion of the TOR Wallet

Latest Tweets are about: 

• Segwitt addresses coming soon (Segwitt was already activated in May 2017)
• Moving to p2pool
• OCM (One Click Mining) .  There is already a beta (20 days old):

Could the core of the project play a role? 

Vertcoin's main focus is to make mining profitable for everyone, not just the big guys.   Other focus-points: Lightning network, stealth address, atomic cross chain.   It sounds all good, but it doesn't sound like a unique project that is going to boom.   But it is a good, stable project with a strong community not buzzing around.   That's how it looks like to me.    That is probably also why Vertcoin scores high on Gambiste because Gambiste filters out all such tweets that are just buzzing.  

What happens next? 

There was an interesting article today that showed us that investors are not really concerned about the background of the platform, a coin, project or token.  Or the technical features or aspects.  An investor seems to be mostly interested about the Market Share (Sales over a period of time).   My prediction is that Vertcoin wil stay stable for a long time but that it will not show much volatility in the (near) future.   But i'll keep an eye on it. Is it not for trading, than it could be for mining, or use it for crypto-payments in an app or website.
