GNOSIS: A near-term & medium-term call to buy

Gnosis passes our muster for an interesting short-term own, but it may also pass muster as an interesting medium-to-longer-term own. Thus....

...normally we might call Gnosis a "Poopcoin", but unfortunately we know a little bit more about this one and can't put that label on it. We will talk a little bit about Gnosis below, and hopefully readers can comment what they know as well.

What is Gnosis? It's a soon-to-be PREDICTION MARKET
What is a prediction market? It's a glorified WASPY version of a sports betting exchange. A prediction market example, might be allowing betting on whether a terrorist attack occurs in 2018, or whether Trump is impeached before his first term expires. Prediction markets may also include sports betting, but WASPy people think sports betting is the art of blue-collareds, so WASPy Silicon Valley founders like Martin Koppelmann don't wish to traffic in such blue-collar activities as sportsbetting, so they call their application a "prediction market". BUT Gnosis, is MORE than just a prediction market in-the-making, so what ELSE is Gnosis?

Answer: The better question, which is also the answer, is: What ISN'T Gnosis? Gnosis, is like the Google of cryptocoins, they might start off as a Prediction Market, but on the road to solving this application they have semi-pivotted to become more. Again, what is the "more"? We will list some of their aspirations below, without going into depth bc some of it is techie-jargon-speak super-whammadine secret-squirrel james bondian Amazon Web Services type cryptostuff. Yeah, cryptostuff is the right word, so here's the list...

"Olympia" = The Prediction Market was released in Alpha (pre-Beta) in December to those close to Gnosis founders.
Olympia isn't just a prediction market but a prediction market platform.

"App Store" = Gnosis aims to be a platform for other crypto-entities, so they will have an app-store which intends on being released in 2018

Dutch Exchange: Gnosis plans on having an exchange for ERC-20 tokens (read: Ethereum-based tokens) using a traditional Dutch Auction (a dutch auction example is Amazon's used-goods market where the guy selling at the lowest price with a good reputation is usually the next item/commodity sold).

Futarchy: Remember the white-person WASPy theme of not offering sports betting but favoring the term "prediction markets"? Futarchy is like the highest level of this. Futarchy is a higher-learning version of a Prediction Market which aims to help entire nations, nations' leaders, and other white-shoe WASP corporate bigwigs make better decisions and be held accountable for those decisions. Don't expect a viable product on this theme in 2018, but only experiments.

GnosisDB: Since blockchains like Gnosis aren't useful for storing large amounts of data, and Prediction Markets might require some data storage, Gnosis built last July an alpha version of their own database they've labelled Gnosis-DB.
Whether this turns into a crypto-version of Amazon Web Services, we don't have a doctorate in Sillycon Valley speak to say.

Again, what ISN'T Gnosis?
What we think it is, is an interesting short-to-medium term speculation, beginning now at prices around $400.
If you can buy it tonite below $400, do so.
However, we always play proper theoretical purchasing, and use full disclosure for our theoretical speculative calls, so as we write Gnosis trades for $405.65, so we'll say we're in this one at $408 to be conservative.

Definitions:
WASP = White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Think "Thurston Howell the 3rd" on Gilligan's Island or Warren Buffetted. Opinionated biased chaps who are never caught doing anything wrong but also might be stealing money in the trillions legally with the help of a political network of other WASPs.

ERC-20: Cryptotokens based on Ethereum platform. Gnosis's token ITSELF is ERC-20 and any cryptotokens built on Gnosis platform will also likely be ERC-20.
