Ledger hardware wallets are now available in mobile applications

The manufacturer of popular hardware wallets for storing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies Ledger has announced the release of mobile applications for iOS and Android devices.

The report of the French company says that with the help of the application Ledger Live users Ledger Nano S and Ledger Blue were able to view their balances by scanning the QR-code available in the desktop version of the product.

At the moment, the application is in consulting mode, but allows you to carry out transactions wirelessly (via Bluetooth) using the device Ledger Nano X. in the future, users of Ledger Nano S will also be able to carry out transactions via OTG-cable, however, this feature, as noted, will be available only for smartphones on Android.

It is also planned to extend these functions to the desktop application.

The mobile applications of Ledger Live are compatible with devices running iOS 9+ or Android Lollipop (5) and above.
