As I mentioned earlier, these cryptokitties are a new form of collectibles which you can trade, buy, sell, collect like traditional collectibles.

But the unique thing is that unlike traditional collectibles, you can even breed this form of cryptocollectibles and the result will be a totally unique new offspring-just like humans!

Also, the ownership of these cryptocollectibles or cryptokitties will be tracked on blockchain securely so you need not worry about its ownership or any fraud because everything is recorded on a transparent blockchain of Ethereum.
What Do You Need To Play Cryptokitties?

Here’s what you need to get started:-
A computer or laptop running the desktop version of Chrome or Firefox
MetaMask is Ethereum’s digital wallet used specifically with web apps.
Ether, a form of digital payment that powers CryptoKitties. Once you have installed MetaMask on your browser and saved its seed phrase you are good to go.

Now, you need to transfer ETH i.e. Ether to your MetaMask wallet address.
If you already have Ether then well and good. And if you don’t have then you can buy Ether from various resources .How To Play CryptoKitties?

First things first. It is not a free game. You are required to pay in terms of Ether tokens to actually play the game but it is worth every bit and is very interesting too.

You can start playing cryptokitties by buying/selling existing kitties or else you may breed with another to form a new & unique kitty for yourself.

Buying & Selling-Once you login to MetaMask and go to the marketplace, there is a sale of kitties going on. You can fund your MetaMask wallet and actually purchase a kitty for yourself.m The CryptoKitties team releases a new “Gen 0” CryptoKitty every fifteen minutes (up until November 2018) so you can also purchase them in exchange for your Ether.
Breeding:-If you want to breed a new offspring, you can do so by breeding your existing kitty with any other siring partner from siring section.
Start by choosing one of your CryptoKitties to be the Sire (i.e. the dad). Then you can choose one of your other CryptoKitties to be the mother.You can expect a new Kitty to appear in “My Kitties” soon!

Now you can keep this new offspring or sell it in the marketplace at your designated price. This breeding process is also paid. As you can see in the example below, to breed you will need to pay a fee of 0.3028 Ether that will be deducted from your MetaMask.

You can either breed and make a unique cryptokitty to sell it in the marketplace at your desired price and earn a profit or you can buy a ‘Gen 0’ kitty and HODL it for some time just like cryptocurrencies and sell it later when you get a good price.

Just like any other product or collectible the marketplace is driven by demand and supply along with your asking price.
