It’s probably quite appropriate during Shakespeare Week to start this post with a line from The Bard:

‘Now is the alt winter of our discontent…’

At least I think that’s what he meant. Another double digit discount available for nearly every single alt as the market drops yet further, to the point where we’re seeing incredible prices like NEO at $67, ETH at $591 and Monero at $209. Big Daddy Bitcoin dropped to $7.6k overnight before bouncing back up a little, which is at least good news, although no one is ruling out further drops – I’ve felt bearish ever since the bottom at $6k some weeks ago and I don’t see any reason to expect a rush to $12k as some are saying. This flip flopping could well continue for a while until some new money comes in.

Annoyingly I’m now holding a new bag. I bought TE-Food (TFD) at ICO and had hoped to sell quickly on the exchange, but the coins arrived from the pool about 24 hours after the listing, meaning that when I finally got them onto the exchange it was under the ICO price which, in the current climate, means I will have to hold it until something approaching alt season returns. Of course, if there’s a coin on IDEX that is likely to jump I’ll sell into that to recoup the losses, but in this market…nah.

On the plus side, someone in my BB group is running a margin trading account, meaning that I can at least try and make some profit from my last vestiges of BTC. He seems pretty on the ball with his TA, so let’s see if he can dig a few gems out of this shit show.
