Ripple surges amid FOMO - What's happening?
Ripple is ATH at the moment. Everyone is rushing to catch a piece of the pie and it somewhat seems understandable to ride the wave. But will it last for long? is the question one should ask.
I have hated Ripple but I give them credit for their marketing. The only reason I hate them is for their decentralization and not serving the true purpose of "Cryptocurrency" i.e; giving the control back to Banks.
One thing is for sure, those who believe in Cryptocurrency and the free market hates Ripple but they do not hold as much power as those who they hate.
There's no doubt Ripple Technology serves a purpose that Bitcoin fails to. But it's not the same as Bitcoin. You are creating a monster. After all, it's centralized. They can do what the hell they want to.

Why Ripple surges?
There isn't just one news to credit. Some believes that Coinbase will soon add it to the the list, riving FUD a push. There's also news from Japan Banks and if you head to the XRPcharts Blockchain data, you will notice that lots of transactions are happening in JPY currency.

Then there's investors who are buying crazy amounts of Volume like this one that just happened yesterday. An investor bought about 450 Million XRP.
And then there's speculation regarding two households joining in which apparently includes Amazon.

All I would say, is be careful and have a reason before entering a trade.
When I bought ripple at 0.77 I was thinking that it is quite high but it has paid off and I will wait a bit more to reach it at $4 before selling.

I would say this is a FOMO rather than a FUD. People fear not to miss out the price explosion!
Yeah, that should have been the right word. I forgot that word, tried to remember but couldn't and then used the FUD :p

Ripple is the next gen bitcoin of a sort. The more people invest in it, the more the prices go up, but the moment that 450 mil USD is liquidated, the price of the whole currency is gonna plummet.
I would not disgrace Bitocoin by calling Ripple Bitcoin or even comparing it. But yeah, it's a useful coin.
What's your thoughts on stellar lumens?
Much better than XRP, solid plan and team, minimal fee's, inflation control mechanism, weak on marketing. Since, it's a low cost coin, I'd say HODL.
