Hi Steemians, I have found so many interesting information about the chinese cryptocurrency "NEO (Antshares)" and I want to share some new researches with you.
On Youtube there are already so many videos about NEO (Antshares), even it is still a very new coin and many of the older coins still don´t have so much social media activity. In the moment NEO is preparing for an upgrade to NEO 2.0 on August 8th which will make its Neo VM available to developers. That´s why there is already a big run on NEO and I think it will continue after the upgrade. Maybe there will be a short dump-period after the upgrade, but then the coin value will continue to grow. (My personal opinion.)
What makes NEO (Antshares) so interesting and why do they already have so many support?
This has different reasons, but I think one of the most important fact is, that NEO (Antshares) has an official cooperation with Microsoft and this is really unique for a blockchain company! In my last article "Cryptocurrency Info: Interview with Neo (Antshares) co-founder Da HongFei!" you can find an interview with the co-founder Da HongFei, where he confirms the rumors about the official cooperation.
Here is an excerpt of an article which explains what makes NEO (Antshares) so unique:
NEO’s core developer, Erik Zhang, revealed smart contracts 2.0, the next step of smart contracts. Ethereum based smart contracts use Ethereum’s own programming language, Solidity. NEO’s smart contracts 2.0 will use ordinary programming languages like Javascript, Go, Python etc. With this move, the NEO team is hoping to attract a wider audience of developers for potential NEO based applications. Another upcoming feature of the NEO platform will be the ‘Nest Fund’, similar to Ethereum’s ‘The DAO’, it will allow NEO users to create their own decentralized autonomous organizations.
In addition we have to notice that NEO is a chinese cryptocurrency, China’s First Open-Source Blockchain Platform and the chinese market is very big. This is another very important fact about NEO, what shows the big growth potential.

My Fazit: NEO could have the potential to become as strong as Ethereum and the big support in this still early phase is awesome. For me this is a hot long-term coin and I will always buy some NEO every month, until it is about 10-20% of my portfolio. Maybe in the moment it is an opportunity like buying Ethereum last year for around 10$... This is just my personal opinion and not an investment advice. This is great news, but to add on your good points, NEO's uptake versus the entry point. Currently many people are gearing up for cryptocurencies based on Bitcoins success. Secondly, most currencies are now using the media to gain popularity and once there are ready users, there is scarcity that results in increase in value and that is exactly what NEO is doing. Thanks for you detailed info.

So do you think in the moment it is just the first hype for EOS and we will be able to buy them much cheaper in some month´s, or do you think it is still undervalued and we will not see it under 9$ so far again? Im not sure about the entry point too, that´s why I will buy more from time to time, to get a nice average price.

I am very curious to see what happens when people realize that China is going to be less dependent on the dollar in the next years..Federal Reserve is printing a lot of money with a very low interest, and China is staking gold from a long time to have a solid economy.On one side China and Russia go to gold and crypto,while on the other side US banks are keeping inflated the dollar to sustain the american economy.When people realize the stock market is overvalued, some of that 1.9 trillion will go to crypto, reducing the stocks market cap and creating the causing element of a financial crisis.When this happens people will begin to realize that holding a NEO is actually the best commodity you can have because with a fixed supply of coin you create a deflationary currency(GAS) to provide valuable services for people.It's gonna be a complete paradigm shift

Re Neo, while I think it has great potential, it's "newness" is obvious in its portal. For instance, I bought Neo and tried to transfer it to a wallet, fortunately one coin at a time, but the wallet I downloaded is no longer supported, so I lost one Neo in the attempt. If it's no longer supported, then it needs to be removed from its website. Just sayin'

You write NEO/Antshares is a new coin, but I think it's older than Ethereum.
Yes you are right, Antshares is an older Coin, but NEO is the new branding.
Nice article. I was about to post a similair post. Not sure if I believe in the current crypto investment climate but I do believe in the blockchain. We really need more insights in the market and previous investment results (even though they don't deliver any guarantee for the future). Well, I read both good and awfully bad things about NEO. But I had invested when it was at $41 and it crept below $17 and kept lurking at the $30s again. But what i have observed about NEO is that it can double overnight. And right now it is suddenly bouncing.
Best to go by personal experience and not by what others say. Overall my personal experience is awesome! If I had bought $500 of NEO in April this year, it would have been a quarter million anyways. So, if you are with a millionaire in a few months with a $2000 investment, critics can waste their time while you become rich! Three cheers to NEO!!
