SEGWIT2X CANCELLED! BITCOIN RALLY HALTED, BUT ALTCOIN BULLS NEED TO DO MORE TO BREAK MEANINGFUL LEVELS

GOOD AFTERNOON STEEMIT!

Well that's that. No free money for anyone.

There are a ton of people faster and with more intelligence than me on Steemit talking about SegWit2x being canned. Definitely run through the #bitcoin hashtag and brush up on what this means from a technological point of view.

But from a charting point of view, I do believe that I can offer something to the Steemit community ;) Just take a look at the Bitcoin chart below:

BTC/USD Daily

I think it's safe to say that now nobody is getting any 'free money' from the fork, a healthy pullback is definitely on the cards. However, it's actually holding up better than I expected.

In one of my blogs earlier in the week, I marked some of the expected pullback levels in Bitcoin and we probably will see those tested over the coming weeks. It would be healthy for the chart if some of those round numbers were tested anyway.

But what about alts?

If traders are no longer going to be getting their free money from Bitcoin, we should definitely expect money flowing out of the BTC markets and back into the alts. Something that we've already seen today with plenty of my altcoin watchlist experiencing some EPIC gains and keeping me happy on a Thursday.

Nobody should be complaining when they're making money, right? :)

Something that I have found quite interesting however, is the fact that there's still been almost zero technical damage done to any of the bullish altcoin charts that I've been speaking about on the blog. While this isn't ideal at the moment, the altcoin charts have been pretty fucking ugly, so I guess it is to be expected that price would take more than a single morning to undo all of the damage.

Take a look at these 3 charts that I've been speaking about in particular:

ETH/USD Daily

NEO/USD Daily

STEEM/USD Daily

Gotta do better than that, bulls!

Have a great day.

Peace.

BTC is doing a lot better than I expected. I thought BTC was going to fall back to 6000 usd after the hardfork. But since it's not even going to happen, I'm pretty confused on what to expect. Regardless, back to ETH and Steem my BTC goes. Lets go alts!

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.

To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.

To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as [steemit](https://steemit.com) Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.

This message was created by a bot. It is part of the ongoing fight against spam and phishing attacks on steemit. If you did not use short links in your post and feel you have received this message in error you can contact @fubar-bdhr on discord or @fubar.bdhr on steemit chat to report the issue.
