With the integration of the ERC-20 utility token called Tuurnt Token (TRT), hosts and partygoers are able to trade services in a secure payment system without having to deal with centralized middlemen. With Tuurnt, you can see how an event is unfolding in real time because the Tuurnt app allows for photo and video sharing.

There's also the social/messaging part where intending partygoers can ask questions about an event and all users who booked that event will be notified to aid quick reply. Like every other social media, there are "like" and "dislike" features but on Tuurnt, they are called Tuurnups and Tuurndowns. The number of Tuurnups & Tuurndowns an event has is visible to all users of the app.

Tuurnt also tries to be secure by verifying the identity of event hosts using at least two methods of verification (email, phone verification and at least one social media such as Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin). The host's address is also only revealed to the user booking/attending the event.

The two primary functions for TRT tokens are to book paid or free events on Tuurnt​ and to send TRT to friends and other Tuurnt users. TRT allows guests to pay the host for bookings by utilizing a smart contract system. The payments will be escrowed, until 24 hours after the event is done, in a high level secured wallet. If no disputes arise between both parties within that period, the payment will be automatically deposited in the host’s TRT wallet address.

Token and ICO Details

The token sale is currently ongoing and in its last phase. This phase is scheduled to be on for 3 weeks and 1 TRT can be bought at $0.1.

There are 500 million TRT that are available for supply and 33% will be available during the crowd sale. In addition to this, 33% will also be channeled​ to the Team, Advisors and Legal sector while 33% will be allocated to Development, Marketing, Operational Expenses & Users Rewards. 5% of the funds will be allocated to legal while 10% for community rewards. 25% of the total funds will be used for operational Expenses and 30% will be used to cater for marketing expenses.
