Buying cryptokitties is mostly an ethereum-only purchase and it's pretty hyped right now. This is probably a big boost to ethereum, as it's actually being used to buy and sell a product by a lot of people.

Most traders and less knowledgeable people probably never thought of crypto as an actual currency before. This in itself is huge to the crypto meta, in my opinion.
