Delegations help hold value in the blockchain

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago

Money is put into the steemit blockchain. It becomes Steem Power. This event, not the SP itself, represents someone's interest. Someone's opinion values this system. They usually think so because it is profitable for them somehow. Then talking about this project other people will make their SP more valuable.

Delegations are dealt with on the long term. Look at @steembasicincome, the account that uses the greatest amount of delegations of our platform. They hold gigantic value towards everything in our ecosystem, because people's time and opinions become a part of it.

If it weren't for services like the aforementioned Steem Basic Income, there would be much less Steem Power floating around, which means less buying and selling, smaller profits, and therefore a lot less overall growth, although not necessarily financial growth.

Whenever I lease like 1000 Steem Power from someone for 6 months, I'm effectively pinning down some of their attention for at least that long. They probably won't walk away from steemit until that is done - and once the deal completes, since it was succesful, they probably won't leave for good.

Conclusion: getting more ways to spike more people's interest for both short and long term would certainly raise STEEM's value. Apps, dapps, creative revenue, digital and physical products easily accessible by steemians should be the key to this.

I am 100% in agreement, the delegations give life to the Blockchain of Steem.
5, 10, 50, or 1000 Steem Power always add and keep the Steem in motion

It's such a good feature! I'll send you a sbi share soon.

I will thank you very much

Totally agree... These long term focused projects on STEEM is what makes its value goes up like this.

Yes, I think steemit wouldn't even be here anymore if there weren't so many good projects. I'll send you a sbi share soon.
