Steem Blockchain based social platform doesn't allow to delete posts

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I wanted to write something just to explore steem-it potential and try its different functionalities. I am used to test stuff before going serious with them, and so I was trying to do the same thing with this platform. Unfortunately​ one of the main and more debated feature of Steemit is the fact that, being a blockchain backed service it doesn't allow to delete posts, and whatever you write will stay there for ever!

What do you guys think about this?
Do you see it as a good thing or bad?
