Pillar Project Update

I will soon send out a special bulletin on the exchange situation. In the meantime, I wanted to get this out asap...

We Commit!

I asked everyone working at the Pillar Project to email me saying “I commit to shipping a wallet on February 16th that we can show to the world,” and everyone committed. We aren’t shipping a wallet to the world, it’s just a way for us to show the world our work in progress. My hope is that we’ll do this again in mid-March and then go into testing and release - but you’ll hear more on that as we go. To get on the list for our live webcast where we’ll share the wallet, please go to BrightTALK and register.

We Screwed Up the Poll...

We invited people to take a poll to tell us what phone they use, but we gave access to the wrong file and people were confused. Sorry about that! This is a one-question poll that will tell us which phone people have, anonymously.* Please take the...

Planning the Pillar Summer Event

We’re behind on planning our July event. It will be big. It will be Pillar. It will be community. It will be - you! Please join me for a group call on Monday, January 29th, at 12 noon EST/5pm UK time to discuss where we’ll have the event and who will help organize it. We will also discuss other upcoming blockchain events and how our volunteers can participate. Go to the online community to get the details for participating.

Business Agility Workshop

On February 1st from 8-10am I’ll be leading a business-agility workshop in the lower level event space of the Rise accelerator in London. Why not fly in and attend? It’s free, and there will be more if people want more. You can learn more at businessagilityworkshop.com

My Take on Bubbles

I recently published a thought piece on Bitcoin and bubbles. It applies to most cryptocurrencies. Please read and share…

Do Your Own Due Diligence

Coinbase

I buy my Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin through Coinbase. For me, buying them through Coinbase is fast and convenient. Plus, you will get $10 in Bitcoin when you signup at Coinbase using this link and you buy $100 or more of crypto-currency.

The reason I like Coinbase is that they stand up to an over-reaching government: Coinbase Obtains Partial Victory Over IRS, 29 November 2017

Ledger Nano S

For safe keeping I store my cryptocurrencies and tokens on a Ledge Nano S, I bought mine on Amazon.com.

thanks again a lot for sharing this update on pillar

it will be good to hold more of these thanks for sharing this

While there are many good things I can say about the Pillar project and the Pillar wallet, I am not a fan of coupling the KYC/AML stuff with a wallet. I can see the potential where you could be prevented from doing a peer-to-peer coin/token transfer due to regulations in a person's jurisdiction.
I do not like being restricted from participating in ICO/TGE's due to potential regulations, but I understand it from the offer's (company's) viewpoint. However, once on a peer-to-peer exchange, there should be no regulations restricting one-party from entering into an agreement with another party, *freedom of commerce/free market.

I say all of this because, I believe the Pillar wallet will the "it" wallet of the masses in the mass adoption phase of cryptos. I am just not certain at this point that I will be using the Pillar wallet. For that reason, this token is more of a trading opportunity for me.

Have a great week!
Steem on,
Mike

How can we participate in pillars??

You can buy Pillar ERC20 tokens (PLR) through several exchanges. The most popular exchange is EtherDelta followed by Cryptopia and HitBTC.
