Still looking for confirmation on that but I'm assuming that the Reggie.Veri C&P'd in the post at Bitcointalk is him.

Well if you'd bothered to click the link in the first post above you might have noticed the information from the Veri Slack channel linked on Bitcointalk this morning just after it happened, There was also a link to etherscan showing the movement of the Veri as well.
Add to that the order and price action on etherdelta and I think it was quite justified.
